About This Role
DuBois Aviation is accepting FAA-certificated fixed-wing flight instructors for on-site flight and ground instruction at Chino Airport. Instructors work with private, instrument, commercial, and career-focused students across a varied training fleet; recent full-time instructors have commonly accumulated approximately 800 to 1,200 hours in a year, although actual flight time depends on student demand, availability, weather, and scheduling. Compensation, expected availability, and scheduling are discussed with qualified applicants based on their certificates, experience, and instructor role.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The instructor will provide structured flight and ground instruction to assigned students, prepare them for stage checks, knowledge tests, practical tests, and safe solo flight, and complete accurate training records and endorsements.
- Responsibilities also include conducting preflight briefings and postflight reviews and coordinating professionally with dispatch, maintenance, and other instructors.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold an FAA flight instructor certificate appropriate to the instruction they will provide and have at least 350 hours of total flight time.
- The role also requires professional communication, dependable availability, a safety-first approach, and the ability to commute to Chino Airport for scheduled flight and ground instruction.
- Preferred qualifications include CFII or MEI privileges, experience in Piper PA-28, Piper PA-23, or Mooney aircraft, and availability for a consistent student schedule.
