About This Role
Medway Air Ambulance, a leading fixed-wing air ambulance operator, is seeking experienced Learjet First Officers to join their mission-focused team providing vital medical transportation services. This is a full-time position offering a home-based 8/6 schedule with no commuting on hard days off. Candidates must have a minimum of 1000 hours total flight time, Commercial/Instrument/Multi-Engine ratings, and preferably Learjet or similar aircraft experience. The position includes company-paid type rating training, comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid vacation, and a retention bonus, with an annual salary of $60,294.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate Learjet 35/45 aircraft on fixed-wing air ambulance missions
  • Transport patients to the next level of care
  • Conduct pre-flight checks and safety procedures
  • Work as Second in Command on medical transport flights
  • Maintain professional appearance and communication with medical team
  • Comply with Part 135 regulations and safety standards

Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Pilot License
  • Instrument rating
  • Multi-Engine Land (MEL) rating
  • Minimum 1000 hours total flight time
  • 100 hours turbine or multi-engine aircraft preferred
  • Valid First-Class FAA Medical Certificate
  • Valid state driver's license
  • FCC Radio Operator License
  • Valid passport with unrestricted international travel
  • Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction
  • Part 135 experience or Flight Instructor experience preferred
  • Learjet or similar aircraft experience preferred
  • Ability to pass TSA background screening
  • Obtain appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
  • Ability to lift and move 50+ lbs
  • Professional appearance
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Flexibility to work varying duty slots including day/night, weekdays, weekends, and holidays
