About This Role
Thrive Aviation is seeking a Las Vegas-based First Officer to support safe and efficient ground and in-flight aircraft operations. The role combines flight-safety and regulatory responsibilities with attentive service for customers and high-profile clients, clear communication, and coordination with crew, dispatch, maintenance, administration, and leadership. The posting calls for at least 2,500 hours of total time, including 500 hours of multi-engine experience, prior overwater, long-haul, and international mission experience, unrestricted eligibility to fly internationally, and readiness for irregular schedules and time away from home.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The First Officer is administratively responsible to the Chief Pilot and is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft. Duties include anticipating customers’ needs and striving to exceed their expectations
- complying with FAA regulations, Thrive’s GOM, Operational Specifications, and department operating procedures
- and maintaining communication and coordination with the assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration. The First Officer also performs other duties assigned by management or senior leadership.
Requirements
- Applicants must have and maintain an FAA First Class Medical Certificate, hold a Pilot Certificate, and possess a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Permit. The position requires a minimum of 2,500 hours of total time with at least 500 hours of multi-engine time, prior experience with overwater, long-haul, and international missions, and experience delivering prestigious levels of guest service to high-profile clients while practicing the highest level of discretion and confidentiality. Candidates must reside in, or within two hours of, SNA, VNY, BUR, LAX, ONT, LGB, SAN, OAK, SFO, SJC, PDX, SEA, PHX, ABQ, LAS, RNO, DEN, DAL, DFW, AUS, DSM, IAH, HOU, PBI, FLL, MIA, TPA, MCO, ORD, PWK, ATL, GSO, CLT, TEB, LGA, EWR, JFK, or BOS
- candidates living in LAS are highly preferred. The role also requires COVID-19 vaccination because of international travel requirements, a valid non-expired US Passport, and eligibility to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions. A current type rating in the applied aircraft is highly desired but not required. Candidates must communicate effectively, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be willing to take on new challenges as the company grows. The work may involve remaining seated in a small space for extended periods, spending several days or weeks away from home each week, working irregular hours, and being called to fly or notified of cancelled flights with little notice.
