About This Role
First Officer position with Global Crossing Airlines (GlobalX), based at Alexandria, LA or Harlingen, TX. Pilots are accountable for the safe and timely operation of the aircraft and work as part of a collaborative 'one-crew' team with a strong safety-first, 'we before me' culture and a focus on building customer trust and service. This is a full-time employee role operating the Airbus A320.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft and the safety of crew and passengers.
- Responsible for the airworthiness of the aircraft, weather factors affecting the flight, flight regulations and air traffic control procedures.
- Uses all tools and aids designed to provide maximum safety in the air and on the ground, and demonstrates safety ownership in every aspect of responsibilities, performance and behavior to ensure the successful outcome of every flight.
Requirements
- Requires an FAA Airmen Certificate, an FAA First Class Medical Certificate and a valid FCC Radiotelephone Operator's permit.
- A minimum of 1,500 hours total time is mandatory.
- An Airbus A320 type rating is preferred but not required.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States, able to maintain a valid passport, able to travel unrestricted to and from the United States, and have excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
