About This Role
Thrive Aviation is hiring a First Officer for its Challenger 3500 fleet, based in Las Vegas, NV (KLAS). The First Officer is primarily responsible for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft while delivering an exceptional customer experience. The role reports administratively to the Chief Pilot and demands clear, effective communication with leadership, fellow crew members, and dispatch. This is a corporate/Part 135 charter flying position with an irregular schedule that can involve several days or weeks away from home and flights or cancellations called with little notice.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Report administratively to the Chief Pilot.
- Serve as primarily responsible for the safe and efficient ground and in-flight operation of the aircraft.
- Anticipate customers' needs and strive to exceed their expectations.
- Comply with FAA regulations, Thrive's General Operations Manual (GOM), Operational Specifications, and adhere to department operating procedures.
- Maintain communications and coordination with the assigned crew, dispatch, maintenance, and administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or senior leadership.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications: 1,000 hours of fixed-wing total time
- 500 hours of PIC total time
- a valid, unexpired US passport
- a Commercial Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument ratings
- an FCC Radio License
- and a current, valid FAA First Class Medical Certificate. Candidates must be able to communicate effectively, be eligible to fly internationally into any country or jurisdiction without restrictions, and thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment. Applicants must live within 2 hours of KLAS or one of Thrive Aviation's remote crew bases. Preferred qualifications (in addition to the minimums): 1,500+ hours of fixed-wing total time
- 50+ hours of multi-engine time
- 500 hours of total turbine time
- an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate
- previous experience in corporate aviation or Part 135 charter
- and a current type rating for an aircraft within the fleet.
