About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Falcon 900DX Captain to operate from Opa-locka Executive Airport (KOPF) in Florida. As pilot-in-command of the Falcon 900DX, the Captain leads the flight crew in safely and expertly meeting client travel needs while upholding Solairus's culture of safety, service, and integrity. The role runs on an on-call basis and requires the crewmember to live within a two-hour drive of KOPF or be willing to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Falcon 900DX. Duties include reviewing the maintenance status of the aircraft
- conducting a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the planned route and at all airports to be used, including alternates
- ensuring each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, aircraft, and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum flight experience: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours pilot-in-command
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours MEL PIC
- 500 hours turbojet time
- and 250 hours instrument. Candidates must be type rated on the Falcon 900DX or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical certificate. The position also requires availability to work on an on-call basis, completion of ICAO international procedures training annually, and a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KOPF (or willingness to relocate).
