About This Role
Tactical Air Support Inc is hiring a full-time F-16 Weapons Instructor Course (WIC) Instructor Pilot for its programme at Thumrait, Oman. The successful pilot delivers a Qualified Weapons Instructor course using company-provided courseware, manuals and technical orders, teaching academics in the classroom, running Full Mission Simulator (FMS) sorties from the Instructor Operating Station (IOS), and flying in-flight instruction in the F-16 Block 50. Alongside the instructional line, the post carries a Subject Matter Expert remit: advising on all pilot training courseware updates, applying advanced aviation technical concepts, and helping build new training material. The company describes the seat as one typically filled by an experienced F-16 WIC instructor pilot, and expects a candidate who is highly experienced, professional, disciplined, team-oriented, technically astute and responsive to the needs of the company and its customers. The engagement is a one-year contract with four option years, based in Oman, with regular travel to work sites around the country possible and occasional evening, weekend, holiday and overtime work driven by operational, departmental or contractual requirements. The working environment includes occasional time in an aircraft hangar or warehouse with loud noise, engine and chemical fumes, unpredictable hot or cold climate, electrical, trip and slip hazards, and possible handling of hazardous materials. Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver academic training and instruction for the F-16 Weapons Instructor Course, and conduct a Qualified Weapons Instructor course using the provided courseware, manuals and technical orders.
- Instruct pilots in ground and flight procedures and techniques, and prepare lesson plans.
- Train in the Full Mission Simulators and operate the Instructor Operating Stations.
- Provide in-flight instruction in the F-16 Block 50.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all pilot training courseware updates, applying advanced technical aviation concepts and assisting in the creation of training material.
- Assist in the preparation of schedules and the maintenance of training records, and ensure that course standards, training requirements and objectives are met by each student.
- Evaluate and monitor each student's performance.

Requirements
- A bachelor's degree with five or more years of relevant work experience. Former F-16 Weapons School graduate. A demonstrated minimum of 1,000 hours of F-16 flight experience is required. A demonstrated 1,500 hours of fighter flight time in fourth and/or fifth generation multi-role fighter aircraft. Current or demonstrated experience as a USAF instructor pilot with multi-role fighter experience. A valid state driver's licence. Regular travel to various work sites throughout the country may be required. The applicant must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States, complete a U.S. government I-9 form and pass a government background check, and must also be lawfully eligible to work OCONUS. An active, current DoD Secret clearance is required, with the investigation or CV date within the last five years. Desired experience and skills: foreign language and cultural experience
