About This Role
Bombardier (Learjet Inc) experimental flight test role in Wichita, KS. Provides technical expertise on flight test and aircraft operational issues, acts as project pilot, and conducts developmental and certification flight tests on experimental airplanes.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical expertise related to flight test and aircraft operational issues in support of design development activities.
  • Work closely with Flight Test Engineers.
  • Oversee and audit the technical content of all test procedures.
  • Provide technical leadership as project pilot to other test pilots.
  • Provide the central point of contact for all pilot/operational issues.
  • Review and provide inputs for flight manuals, flight manual supplements, pilot manuals and other technical engineering reports.
  • Conduct briefings for company management reviews, FAA, Transport Canada and other foreign Certification Authorities.
  • Conduct developmental and certification flight tests on experimental airplanes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience). Must hold the appropriate US or Canadian ATP/ATPL or attain within 6 months of hire. First Class FAA medical or equivalent. Minimum 3 years' experience in experimental flight test as the test pilot (PIC). Minimum 1500 hours including 300 hours of turbine powered flight experience as pilot
Preferred Qualifications
  • graduate of an accredited test pilot school (USAF, Navy, French, Empire or National Test Pilot School)
  • 1500 hours PIC and 500 hours of turbine powered flight experience
  • BSc/MSc in engineering
  • prior DER/UM/DAD Test Pilot experience.
