About This Role
Hendrick Motorsports is seeking a full-time Captain to operate its Embraer 145 at KJQF in the Concord, North Carolina area. The position is responsible for safe and prudent flight operations, aircraft, passenger and crew safety, regulatory and company-procedure compliance, aircraft-status and preflight review, route and alternate-airport planning, and accurate trip documentation. The successful candidate should be a knowledgeable, communicative and professional aviation team player who can travel, work a flexible on-call schedule and complete annual ICAO international-procedures training.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the ERJ-145 aircraft and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft maintenance status
- performing a proper preflight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- checking weather, facilities, route conditions, destination airports and alternate airports
- ensuring compliance with Hendrick Motorsports Aviation policies, procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- protecting the safety of passengers, aircraft and crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum qualifications are 3,000 hours total time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours MEL, 500 hours MEL PIC, 500 hours turbojet time, 250 hours instrument time and five years of aviation experience.
- The applicant must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and a first-class medical.
- An ERJ-145/Legacy type rating is desired, while Part 121, Part 125 or corporate flight experience is preferred.
- The pilot must be able to work on call, complete ICAO international-procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a one-hour drive of Concord, North Carolina or be willing to relocate.
