Ameriflight, LLC is hiring a Captain on the Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia for cargo operations based in Phoenix, Arizona, on a full-time basis. Ameriflight is the nation's largest Part 135 cargo airline and the leading provider of scalable, outsourced aviation services for the regional express airfreight market, serving major cargo integrators, manufacturers, aircraft operators and freight forwarders as they adapt to a fast-moving supply chain. The carrier operates a fleet of more than 120 aircraft, including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900 and Beechcraft 99, from bases across the United States. As EMB-120 Captain you fly a pattern that typically operates five days per week, departing in the morning and returning in the evening, with lodging provided at the outstation; schedules may vary depending on base and flight, and occasional TDY support for other bases may be required. The advertised base salary is $97,091 annually, and initial simulator training is conducted at the FlightSafety Paris Le Bourget Learning Center, so international travel is part of the onboarding.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as pilot-in-command of the Embraer EMB-120 Brasilia on Ameriflight's regional express airfreight operations out of Phoenix, flying under FAR Part 135 in IFR conditions.
- Operate the typical route pattern of roughly five days per week, departing in the morning and returning in the evening, with an overnight stay at the outstation where lodging is provided.
- Accept schedule variation depending on base and flight assignment, and provide TDY (temporary duty) support for other bases on an occasional basis.
- Maintain the currency and proficiency the operation demands, including Instrument Proficiency Checks and 121/135 recurrent training, and meet airport badging and security requirements for the stations served.

Requirements
- Candidates must meet FAR 135.243(c) requirements for pilot-in-command in IFR conditions. The stated flight-time minimums are 3,000 hours total time, 1,000 hours PIC, 500 hours cross-country (defined as point to point), 500 hours multi-engine, 500 hours turbine PIC, 200 hours instrument time (of which 50 must be in an aircraft) and 100 hours night. Previous FAR 121 or 135 experience is required, together with an Instrument Proficiency Check or 121/135 recurrent training within the past six months. Licensing: a Commercial Pilot License, multi-engine land, with an instrument rating plus high-performance and complex endorsements

A current passport is required because simulator training is conducted at the FlightSafety Paris Le Bourget Learning Center, and it must be valid for at least six months beyond the planned departure date from the E.U. Schengen Area. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S. and travel unrestricted in and out of the U.S., must meet airport badging requirements including a TSA security background check, and - as they may drive company-provided vehicles - must hold a valid driver's licence and meet all company insurance criteria.
