About This Role
Eastern Airlines is hiring a full-time B767 Captain in Kansas City, Missouri. The Captain reports to the Chief Pilot and has a minimum guarantee of 70 hours per month, with responsibility for the flight crew, passengers, cargo, and safe conduct of each flight. The role requires type rating on multi-engine aircraft, a first-class medical certificate, extensive FAA and company operating knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain has command of and responsibility for the flight crew, passengers, cargo, and safe conduct of the flight, while coordinating activities across all phases of aircraft operation and following Standard Operating Procedures. The Captain retains final authority for safe aircraft operation, directs the First Officer, evaluates crew input, ensures the aircraft is airworthy and properly documented, and makes decisions about starting, delaying, cancelling, diverting, or deviating from a flight. Duties include confirming fuel quantity and grade, obtaining and coordinating operational briefings, reviewing flight plans for altitude, terrain, weather, range, weight, airport facilities, and navigation aids, ensuring regulatory and performance compliance, and maintaining flight locating procedures. The Captain must ensure accurate weight and balance documentation, passenger briefings, required equipment, provisions, cargo securing, flight logs, maintenance reporting, current manuals, crew rest, aircraft cleanliness, and appropriate stores. The role also requires prompt reporting of deviations, incidents, suspected FAA violations, and mechanical irregularities

Requirements
- Minimum qualifications include 7,000 hours of total flying time, counting only time in the operating seat of turboprop and/or turbojet aircraft
- 2,000 hours of PIC time on multi-crew, multi-engine commercial aircraft
- previous wide-body PIC experience
- a valid FAA ATP
- a valid FAA Class One Medical
- a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit
- English fluency
- a valid US Driver's License
- a passport allowing worldwide travel
- US work authorization
- and at least 1,000 hours under Part 121 operations. Preference is given to candidates typed on the B767/757 or B777. Applicants must be able to multitask under pressure, work seniority-based day, swing, or midnight schedules including holidays, travel as required, pass drug and alcohol background checks, pre-employment DOT drug tests, and criminal history records checks, maintain a valid passport, and demonstrate English proficiency consistent with at least ICAO Level 4. Eligible US work authorization is defined as a US Passport or Green Card. Direct Entry Captain candidates must meet FAR 121.436 requirements.
