About This Role
SkyCare Air Ambulance & Charters, a family-owned Canadian air service that has operated for more than 20 years, is hiring a Direct Entry First Officer based in Sioux Lookout, Ontario, with assignments that may rotate to St. Andrews, Manitoba and across the operator's network. The First Officer flies Piper Navajo aircraft alongside experienced Captains in a dynamic multi-mission environment, conducting multi-engine IFR air ambulance and charter operations across Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean, including remote northern, Arctic and urban destinations. The role is aimed at a commercial pilot with around 800 hours who is ready to take the next step in their career, and it offers ongoing training, mentorship and progression opportunities within Flight Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the safe and efficient operation of Piper Navajo aircraft, working closely with Captains, Operations Control, Dispatch, Maintenance and medical flight crews.
- Fly diverse multi-engine IFR missions in both scheduled and unscheduled operations, supporting air ambulance and charter flights across Canada, the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean.
- Operate in northern, remote and urban environments as part of a collaborative crew, following Standard Operating Procedures in a multi-crew setting.
- Take part in ongoing training and mentorship with opportunities for career growth within Flight Operations.

Requirements
- Minimum 800 hours total flight time. Valid Transport Canada Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL). Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Multi-Engine Instrument Rating (IFR). Valid Transport Canada Category 1 Medical Certificate. Ability to meet applicable international travel requirements, including travel to the United States. Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the last 30 days. Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to maintain valid work authorization throughout employment. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
