Porter Airlines is recruiting Direct Entry Captains to operate the Embraer E195-E2 from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ). Duties & Responsibilities
- Porter pilots are expected to act as leaders and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational goals and meet the company's Flying Refined service standards.
- They must actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System by reporting hazards and incidents encountered during daily operations, understanding and complying with the Company Safety Policy, and promoting that policy.
- Safety is the airline's top priority, and pilots are expected to operate every flight safely while maintaining the highest personal and professional standards.
- The role also calls for strong safety awareness, teamwork, passenger and customer service, initiative, results focus, open and respectful communication, integrity, the ability to inspire others, people leadership and the ability to recognize and champion change.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) and have a minimum of 4,500 hours of total flight time.
- This must include 1,000 hours of total time in transport-category jet aircraft in CARs 705 airline operations and 500 hours as pilot in command on transport-category jet aircraft in CARs 705 airline operations.
- Candidates also need recent airline flying experience within the last 24 months and ICAO English language proficiency at level 5 or higher.
- Previous autothrottle or Generation 4 aircraft experience, previous ratings or experience on E170 type variants, previous CARs 705 airline operations training and checking experience, and an aviation college or university degree are assets.
- Applicants must have the legal ability to work in Canada and must hold either a current valid Canadian passport or a current valid international passport with a valid US Crewmember Visa (C-1/D).
- Pilots who do not meet the minimum requirements may still be considered based on experience and other factors determined by Flight Operations Management.
