About This Role
Porter Airlines is hiring Direct Entry Captains on the Embraer E-Jet family (operating the Embraer E195-E2), based in Toronto (YYZ). Porter is expanding rapidly, welcoming over 1,200 new pilots over the next 4 years, with fast seniority progression. Pilots operate to Porter's Flying Refined service standards and participate actively in the company Safety Management System (SMS).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Pilots are leaders who work collaboratively with other team members to achieve organizational goals and meet Porter's Flying Refined service standards. Communicate openly, honestly, and respectfully. Actively participate in Porter's Safety Management System (SMS), including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations
- understand, comply with and promote the Company Safety Policy. Operate every flight safely while holding to the highest personal and professional standards.
Requirements
- Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL). Minimum 4500 hours total time, including 1000 hours total time on transport category jet aircraft in CARs 705 Airline Operations and 500 hours PIC on transport category jet aircraft in CARs 705 Airline Operations. Recent airline flying experience within the last 24 months. English language proficiency ICAO level 5+. Must possess the legal ability to work in Canada (valid Canadian Passport, or valid International Passport with a valid US Crewmember Visa C-1/D). Assets: previous autothrottle and/or generation 4 aircraft experience
- previous ratings/experience on E170 type variants
- previous CARs 705 Airline Operations training and checking experience
- Aviation College or University Degree.
