About This Role
Great North Airlines, a Canadian airline providing ACMI operations and mission-critical charters for government agencies, First Nations communities, and corporate partners, is hiring DASH 8-100/300 Captains. The Captain ensures the safe operation of the aircraft, supervises other crew members, has primary responsibility for the flight, and reports to the Chief Pilot.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Company aircraft
- Ensure all pre-flight, inflight and post-flight duties are completed safely consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards as well as Company policies and procedures
- Ensure that all crew members perform their flight duties consistent with published Transport Canada regulations and standards
- Any other responsibilities and duties assigned by the Chief Pilot.
Requirements
- 3,000 hours Total Time
- 500 hours propeller time
- Must hold Transport Canada Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL)
- Must hold Transport Canada Category I Medical Certificate
- Able to obtain Transport Canada Security Clearance
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Able to operate Company aircraft domestically, trans-border and internationally without restriction
- Aviation diploma/degree an asset
- Must be fluent in English language.
