About This Role
Hubbell Incorporated (industrial electrical/utility manufacturer) is hiring an experienced Captain for its corporate Aviation Operations team based in Stratford, CT, flying a Bombardier Challenger 300 in support of worldwide corporate travel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-flight inspections to ensure that all systems are functioning properly and the aircraft is ready for flight.
- Operate aircraft safely and efficiently, adhering to all federal and local regulations, Hubbell’s Flight Operations Manual, and other company policies and procedures.
- Determine departure times and routes, monitor weather conditions and adjust flight plans as necessary.
- Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with industry and company standards.
- Maintain accurate flight logs, trip paperwork and other documentation in accordance with current procedures.
- Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems which they are authorized to operate, including all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft.
- Analyze area, enroute and terminal charts for the airport of intended landing and alternates.
- Responsible for taking an active role supporting the open sharing of information on all safety issues and reporting all safety hazards and concerns.
- Scheduling and creation of manifests and ability to work within the company’s flight scheduling system.
Requirements
- College degree in Aviation, or a related field preferred.
- Must possess and maintain an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating for Bombardier CL30.
- Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical 5,000 hours Total Fixed Wing 2,500 hours Multi-Engine Land 2,000 hours Pilot-in-Command 1,500 hours Turbojet 1,500 Turbine time 500 hours Night 500 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument 5 years of aviation experience, preferably with a company/corporation Must be able to work flexible schedules Willing and able to travel worldwide Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel a plus.
