About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Citation XLS Captain for an operation at Morristown Municipal Airport (KMMU) in Morristown, New Jersey. The Captain will operate the aircraft safely and prudently, review maintenance status, complete Aircraft Flight Manual pre-flight inspections, assess weather and route facilities including alternate airports, follow Solairus procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, protect passengers, aircraft and crew, and complete trip paperwork. The listed qualifications include 3,000 hours of total time, 1,500 PIC hours, 1,500 MEL hours, 500 MEL PIC hours, 500 turbojet hours, and 250 instrument hours, along with a Citation XLS or comparable type rating, a first-class medical, annual ICAO international procedures training, on-call availability, and residence within two hours of KMMU or relocation. Solairus states that crewmember pay ranges from $50,000 to $500,000 depending on geography, experience, aircraft or equipment, duties, training, and assigned account, and highlights nationwide bases, 401K matching, wellness programs, health benefits, and an inclusive workplace.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Citation XLS and for conducting flights in a safe and prudent manner. Duties include reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status
- performing a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual
- completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route and at the airports to be used, including alternates
- ensuring flights comply with Solairus Aviation policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations
- ensuring the safety of all passengers, the aircraft, and the crew
- and accurately completing all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures.

Requirements
