About This Role
Jet Excellence is a fast-growing Part 135 charter operator headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina, with a modernized fleet and nationwide reach. The Citation X Captain operates CE-750 aircraft as Pilot-in-Command on Part 135 charter missions and is the final authority for the safe, legal, compliant, and efficient operation of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo. This is a full-time, home-based position for pilots residing in the domestic United States within one hour of a major airport, with a rotating 8/6 or 15/13 schedule.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Citation X Captain exercises PIC authority for the safe, legal, and compliant operation of every flight under 14 CFR Part 135 and the company General Operations Manual. Responsibilities include verifying flight planning, weather minimums, routing, aircraft performance, MEL/CDL compliance, and airworthiness before departure
- completing required pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists, and documentation
- coordinating with dispatch and operations while retaining final go/no-go authority
- ensuring crew duty and rest compliance, qualification currency, and adherence to safety management system practices
- applying Crew Resource Management and threat/error management
- handling abnormal and emergency situations under FAA-approved procedures and company training
- protecting passengers through safety briefings, security compliance, and cabin oversight
- maintaining records, discrepancy reports, maintenance write-ups, and other operational documentation
- and upholding company service standards without compromising regulatory or safety requirements. The PIC is the final authority for the operation, safety, and security of the aircraft, crew, passengers, and cargo, and may deviate from regulations when necessary to respond to an in-flight emergency.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a valid CE-750 type-rated Captain/PIC qualification
- applications without this certification will not be considered. The posting also requires an FAA ATP/MEL, a current FAA First Class Medical certificate, a valid passport, U.S. citizenship or permanent resident status with unrestricted right to work, and ICAO eligibility for international operations. Candidates must successfully complete company training and demonstrate proficiency in all required duties. Required flight experience is 3,500 total flight hours, 2,000 hours of PIC time in any aircraft, and 300 hours of PIC time in the CE-750 type. Part 135 experience is preferred. Key competencies include mastery of CE-750 systems, pre- and post-flight planning, aircraft performance, airworthiness verification, proactive aircraft readiness, passenger service, cross-functional collaboration, workload sharing, and threat and error management.
