About This Role
Chief Pilot role at ACI Jet, based in San Luis Obispo, CA (KSBP). The position is responsible for the professional standards of the flight crews and for implementing and maintaining flight operations policies and procedures in coordination with the Director of Operations, while operating ACI Jet aircraft and performing associated management duties. Reports to the Director of Flight Operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervises and manages flight crews in coordination with the Director of Operations.
- Hires, terminates, and assigns crewmembers to duty positions.
- Supervises Dispatch personnel with respect to compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinates with Dispatch personnel in assigning crew to trips.
- Supervises the Director of Training with respect to all training activities of flight crew, dispatchers, and cabin crew.
- Assists the Director of Operations in formulating and implementing operations policies and procedures.
- Assists with adding and removing aircraft from ACI Jet’s certificate.
- Ensures proper documentation is onboard all aircraft.
- Maintains aircraft weight and balance program.
- Ensures that all flight crew personnel are qualified and current in accordance with ACI Jet’s Operations Specifications and the Applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Has authority to act for the Certificate holder, including the signing of FAA correspondence and operations specifications.
- Manages ACI Jet’s MEL program.
- Maintains proficiency as Pilot-in-Command (PIC).
Requirements
- Total Time: Minimum 5000 hours total time.
- International and oceanic operations experience.
- 3+ years of leadership/management experience.
- Meet all required qualifications state in CFR Part 119.71.
- Current and valid Pilot’s Certificate with an English proficient endorsement.
- Valid ATP rating.
- Able to maintain a First Class Medical.
- Able to maintain a valid US Passport.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or have 3-5 years of professional aviation experience.
- Knowledgeable of all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
- No violation of FAA regulations within the last five (5) years.
- Highly Desirable: Chief Pilot Experience.
- Prior FAR Part 135 experience.
- Bombardier, Cessna, or Gulfstream operating experience.
