About This Role
Chief Pilot for Gridiron Air (Fort Worth, TX). Manages and oversees all Company pilots and ensures pilot compliance with Company policies, procedures, and regulations; assumes the duties of the DO in their absence. Management/oversight pilot role at an FAA Part 121/135 large-airplane operator.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manages and oversees all Company pilots and ensures pilot compliance with all Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • The Chief Pilot assumes the duties of the DO in their absence.
  • Manage, direct, and oversee all Company pilots to ensure a professional, safety-oriented culture.
  • Manage the work associated with the Company RVSM policy.
  • Ensure that all pilots are current, qualified, and operate in accordance with Company approved/accepted manuals and, as applicable, the OpSpecs, 14 CFRs, FAA Orders, ADs, ACs.
  • Approve, sign, and request amendments to the OpSpecs.
  • Associate Member of CASS Board.
  • Act as a company Ground Instructor and/or simulator instructor pending satisfaction of the requirements contained in the FOTM.
Requirements
  • 3-6 years: Must hold an airline transport pilot certificate with appropriate ratings for at least one of the airplanes used in the certificate holder's operation and: 1.
  • If becoming a CP for the first time ever, must meet the following criteria: a) PIC of a large airplane operated under 14 CFR Part 121 or 14 CFR Part 135.
  • 3 years: 2.
  • If previous experience as a CP, must meet the following requirements: - PIC of a large airplane operated under 14 CFR Part 121 or 14 CFR Part 135. - Supplemental Part 121 experience preferred - FAA ATP License and FCC Certificate required - First Class Medical preferred -Legal authorization to live and work in U.S. - Valid, unrestricted U.S. passport - No FAA accident history or history of regulatory violations - Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
  • B777, B767 or B747 experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak, understand).
