About This Role
Rise Air is seeking a salaried full-time Chief Pilot to lead its CAR 703 and 704 operations from La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Director, Flight Operations, the role provides operational leadership, regulatory oversight, pilot training and qualification oversight, staffing support, coaching, safety leadership and operational readiness management while maintaining flying currency and flying the line when required. The position offers the opportunity to live and work in Northern Saskatchewan with an Indigenous-owned aviation company focused on employees, communities and the North.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and support pilots across Rise Air's CAR 703 and 704 operations
- oversee operational standards, regulatory compliance and flight crew procedures
- provide oversight of pilot training, qualifications, development and operational readiness
- support pilot recruitment, staffing, scheduling and operational planning
- coach pilots and address performance and operational matters as required
- champion a strong safety culture and actively support the Safety Management System
- maintain flying currency
- and fly the line when operationally required.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence – Aeroplane (ATPL-A), a current PPC on a CAR 704 aeroplane, at least 4,000 hours of total flight time, including 2,000 hours of multi-engine PIC time and 1,000 hours of turbine time.
- Candidates must have at least three years of PIC experience on CAR 703/704 aircraft, be able to qualify as PIC on one of Rise Air's operated aircraft types, and meet applicable Transport Canada requirements for the Chief Pilot role.
