About This Role
MFC Training, a member of the PAL Group family and Canada's largest private flight school (operating in Fredericton NB, Moncton NB, and London ON), seeks a Chief Flight Instructor to manage the overall pilot training program and supervise all flight and ground instructors of the flight training unit across all bases.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Management of the overall pilot training program & supervision of all flight and ground instructors of the flight training unit across all bases
- Direct supervision of Class 4 flight instructors
- Approving of the appointment of ground instructors
- Managing the quality and content of ground school instruction and flight training
- Ensuring flight instruction is based on the appropriate flight instructor guide and flight training manual
- Liaison with Transport Canada on all matters concerning flight training operations
- Oversight and direction of student management.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 or Class 2 Flight Instructor Rating for the category of aircraft in which the flight training is to be conducted.
- Valid Category 1 Medical Certificate.
- Valid Multi-Engine Rating and Group 1 Instrument Rating.
- Must have a minimum of 2,000 hours of flight instructional experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a clear criminal record check.
- Must have a clean aviation regulatory record with no violations.
- Experience in a senior leadership role within an Integrated Approved Flight Training Unit (FTU) or Approved Training Organization (ATO) is considered an asset.
