About This Role
Solairus Aviation is seeking a full-time Challenger 605 Captain for an operation based at KBED in Bedford, Massachusetts. The captain will join a team responsible for meeting clients’ travel needs safely and professionally while upholding the company’s standards of safety, service, and integrity.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The captain is responsible for the safe operation of the Challenger 605 and for conducting every flight safely and prudently.
- Duties include reviewing the aircraft’s maintenance status, completing a proper preflight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, checking weather and facilities along the planned route and at destination and alternate airports, and ensuring compliance with Solairus Aviation policies, procedures, and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations.
- The captain must protect the safety of passengers, aircraft, and crew and accurately complete all required trip paperwork under current procedures.
Requirements
- Applicants must have at least 3,000 hours of total flight time, including 1,500 hours as pilot in command, 1,500 hours in multi-engine land aircraft, 500 hours as multi-engine land pilot in command, 500 hours in turbojet aircraft, and 250 hours of instrument time.
- Candidates must be type rated on the Challenger 605 or a comparable aircraft and hold a first-class medical certificate.
- They must be able to work on an on-call basis, complete ICAO international procedures training annually, and maintain a primary residence within a two-hour drive of KBED or be willing to relocate.
