About This Role
Solairus Aviation is hiring a full-time Challenger 604 Captain based at San Antonio International Airport (KSAT) in Texas. The Captain commands the Challenger 604, flying the company's clients safely and to a high standard while upholding Solairus' culture of safety, service, and integrity. The operator seeks a strong team member committed to excellence in every aspect of performance who can support an on-call operation and complete ICAO international procedures training each year. Candidates must live within a two-hour drive of KSAT or be willing to relocate.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Command and take responsibility for the safe operation of the Challenger 604.
- Conduct every flight safely and prudently, which includes reviewing the aircraft's maintenance status, carrying out a proper pre-flight inspection in accordance with the approved Aircraft Flight Manual, and completing a full check of weather and facilities along the route to be flown and at the airports to be used, including alternates.
- Ensure each flight is conducted in accordance with Solairus Aviation's policies and procedures and applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, safeguard the safety of all passengers, aircraft and crew, and accurately complete all trip paperwork in line with current procedures.
Requirements
- Flight experience minimums: 3,000 hours total time
- 1,500 hours PIC
- 1,500 hours multi-engine land (MEL)
- 500 hours multi-engine land PIC
- 500 hours in turbojet aircraft
- and 250 hours instrument. Must be type rated on the Challenger 604 or a comparable aircraft and hold a First Class medical certificate. Must be able to work on an on-call basis and to complete ICAO international procedures training annually. Primary residence must be within a two-hour drive of KSAT, or the candidate must be willing to relocate.
