About This Role
SkyShare, a private aviation company offering fractional aircraft ownership, private aircraft charters, managed aircraft services, and FBO/Fuel services, is hiring an experienced Captain for a managed Challenger 350 based in Salt Lake City. The Captain will work directly with the private owner to support safe, compliant, efficient flight operations and deliver exceptional client service. The posting requires 4,500 total hours, including 3,000 PIC, 1,000 multi-engine, 800 jet, 300 instrument, and 300 hours in the Challenger 300/350, along with FAA Commercial or ATP certification, a first-class medical, FCC permit, instrument rating, U.S. documents, current IFR knowledge, and U.S. work authorization. Flights may last up to 14 hours per day for as many as eight consecutive days across multiple time zones and changing weather; the fluid schedule includes eight hard days off per month, days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overnight hotel stays. Annual compensation is $220,000-$230,000 with a training repayment contract, health and life coverage, 401(k) match options, paid time off, and free flights on unoccupied trips.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Working directly with the owner, the Captain will ensure every trip is safe, efficient, compliant, and delivered with exceptional service. Duties include strict compliance with FAA regulations, company policies, checklists, and best practices, as well as flight duties of up to 14 hours per day during trips lasting as many as eight consecutive days. Operations may involve crossing multiple time zones and navigating drastically different weather conditions. The role requires a safety-first mindset, rapid adaptation to changing environments and demands, clear communication, sound decision-making, strong problem-solving, high accountability, effective management of sleep for flight readiness, and a professional customer-focused presentation. The Captain must also be physically ready to move objects up to 80 pounds and be competent in handling and caring for animals before, during, and after flights. Requirements
