About This Role
KF Aerospace is recruiting a CFTS Grob Flight Instructor Trainee for its Southport base in Manitoba, where the company delivers contracted pilot training for the Royal Canadian Air Force. The training system uses courseware, stationary and full-motion simulators, a dedicated aerodrome and four aircraft fleets, with the G120A Grob used for Phase I and II training, the King Air C-90B for Phase III multi-engine training and the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and Bell 412 for Phase IV. Instructors are trained to Department of National Defence methodology, are taught aerobatics and then instruct aerobatics once qualified, and become fully qualified to instruct RCAF students after passing their military check ride. The work combines classroom study, ground school instruction and one-on-one student flight instruction with military-style protocol. Duties & Responsibilities
- Instructors for KF Aerospace Defence Programs are trained in accordance with Department of National Defence methodology, covering courseware as well as flight simulator and aircraft flight.
- The successful candidate is also trained in aerobatics and, once qualified, instructs aerobatics.
- After successfully completing a military check ride, an instructor trainee is fully qualified to instruct RCAF students.
- The position entails classroom study, ground school instruction and individual student flight instruction for highly motivated military students.

Requirements
- Primary instructors must hold a valid Transport Canada Class 3 (or higher) Instructor Rating and a valid driver's licence, have a minimum of 300 hours of instructing experience (500 hours preferred), and be able to attain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance.
