About This Role
Coast Flight Training is a fast-growing FAA Part 61/141 flight school seeking Certified Flight Instructors (CFI/CFII) to provide ground and flight instruction on various piston aircraft, primarily Cessna 172 and Piper Seminole. The company operates multiple locations across Texas and California with a mission to help students achieve their aviation dreams in a safety-first culture. Instructors must hold CFI/CFII certification, 300+ hours total time, a valid 3rd Class Medical, and be U.S. citizens. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide flight instruction on piston aircraft (Cessna 172, Piper Seminole)
  • Conduct ground and simulator instruction to students
  • Follow Coast Flight's standardized training procedures
  • Teach students under both FAA Part 61 and Part 141 regulations
  • Manage initial flight instructor applicant training programs (for CFI Initial positions)
  • Maintain safety as top priority during instruction
  • Support students in achieving pilot certifications and career goals

Requirements
  • Valid CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) certificate
  • Valid CFII (Certified Flight Instructor - Instrument) certificate
  • Minimum 300 hours total flight time
  • Valid 3rd Class Medical Certificate
  • U.S. Citizen preferred
  • Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) rating recommended
  • Cessna 172 G1000 experience preferred
  • Piper Seminole experience preferred
  • Experience working in fast-paced training environment
  • Safety-focused mindset
  • Ability to work under FAA Part 61 and Part 141 regulations
