About This Role
Revv Aviation is seeking a part-time Certified Flight Instructor to provide classroom, ground, and in-flight instruction in a Part 61/141 training environment at its Council Bluffs, Iowa location. The instructor will support students progressing through Private, Instrument, Commercial, Multi-Engine, and CFI/CFII training programs, promote safe operations, maintain accurate training records and syllabi, coordinate schedules, and report to the Chief Flight Instructor.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct ground and flight training for private, instrument, and commercial pilot students, including multi-engine and CFI/CFII training programs.
- Safely operate training aircraft in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and FAA regulations.
- Provide classroom and in-flight instruction, monitor each student's progress through the training course, keep syllabi current, and coordinate flight-training schedules with students and staff under applicable scheduling policies.
- Prepare and maintain pilot endorsements required for TSA and FAA compliance, maintain student records for billing and progress tracking, set work schedules around student availability, and perform occasional clerical duties.
- Report to the Chief Flight Instructor and carry out additional duties assigned by the Chief Instructor or designee.
Requirements
- Applicants must understand the Part 61 and Part 141 training process and FAA Airman Certification Standards, and must be able to safely conduct flight-instruction duties in training aircraft.
- Required credentials include a current FAA CFI certificate with a current Flight Review, a current first-, second-, or third-class Medical Certificate, and an Instrument Instructor (CFII) certificate.
- A Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate is preferred.
