Sunwest Aviation is seeking a full-time Captain for its XLS56 aircraft grouping in Toronto, Ontario, reporting to the Chief Pilot. Duties & Responsibilities
- As Captain, perform the duties and responsibilities required on the specified aircraft.
- Follow all safety regulations under company requirements, Transport Canada and CARs, and carry out other related duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Deputy Chief Pilot.
- Adhere to the safety accountabilities in Sunwest’s Safety Management System manual.
- The schedule is based on 24-hour notice and call-out: the pilot is on days off until required to report, the crew scheduler sends a trip brief at least 24 hours before a planned trip, pilots may accept trips with less than 24 hours’ notice for additional call-out pay, and the pilot must check a mobile phone or email at least once every 24 hours for trip briefs.

Requirements
- Candidates must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL), a valid instrument and type rating (if required), and a PPC and currency for an aeroplane in the applicable aircraft grouping.
- Required experience includes 3,200 hours total time, 1,700 hours PIC, 2,000 hours multi-engine, 1,450 hours multi-PIC and 200 hours jet time.
- Preference will be given to candidates with time on type.
