About This Role
Captain (Pilot-in-Command) position with Vista America, an operating partner of Vista — the world's leading global business aviation company — flying luxury private-jet service to passengers across the United States. The role is home-based (Remote work base) on a stable 15/13 schedule published 12 months in advance, reports to the Flight Operations Manager, and offers a defined path to progress through the fleet toward larger aircraft and leadership opportunities while retaining seniority. The posting specifically targets pilots seeking O-1 visa sponsorship: for those meeting the O-1 visa requirements, the company will provide support to obtain the visa.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Captain (Pilot-in-Command) delivering iconic, luxury service to Vista America's passengers while acting as a brand ambassador for the company.
- Be a strong problem solver and team player, always ready to lend a helping hand, and push the boundaries of service and operational excellence.
- Operate as part of a supported global team with 24/7/365 access to pilot leadership (chief pilot, Flight Operations Managers, Director of Operations) and day-to-day, flight-to-flight support from the Operational Control Center.
- The position reports to the Flight Operations Manager.
What We Offer
Year 1 guaranteed base pay of $195,000 with total compensation potential of $247,825, plus extra day pay, a monthly flight-hour bonus, paid training days, and per diem of $75/$120 per day (domestic/international).Pilots may choose vacation time (in addition to the 15/13 schedule) or take an in-lieu-of-vacation bonus of $10,000.Quality-of-life benefits include home basing, a stable 15/13 schedule scheduled 12 months in advance, training scheduled 6 months in advance, fleet progression while keeping your seniority number and remaining with one entity, 24/7/365 access to pilot leadership, Operational Control Center support, a safety management system with a 'Just' Culture, a fatigue management program, mobile response maintenance teams, an aircraft refurbishment program, hotel and travel points, positive-space seats and travel on the first and last day of schedule, premium health/dental/vision programs, a company-provided phone, credit card and uniform, and a 401K with company match and no vesting period.
Requirements
- FAA ATP rated.
- Must hold a PIC jet type rating (Bombardier preferred).
- Minimum flight experience: 3,000 hours fixed-wing time, 1,500 hours PIC, 1,500 hours multi-engine, 1,000 hours turbine, and 300 hours logged IFR.
- Recency: at least 150 hours of flight time in the previous 365 days and 30 hours in the previous 90 days.
- Must hold a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate and have no accidents, incidents or FAA enforcement actions in the last 5 years.
- Must meet the requirements of ICAO Annex 1-2.1.10 as it pertains to aircraft engaged in international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States — for pilots meeting the requirements of the O-1 visa, the company will provide support to obtain the O-1 visa — and authorization to travel to and from all cities and countries served.
