About This Role
Vista America is seeking Captains for its U.S. business aviation operation. The role combines safe and disciplined flight operations with premium passenger service, problem-solving, brand representation and responsive teamwork. Captains report to the Flight Operations Manager, receive structured operational support, and have opportunities to progress through the fleet while retaining seniority within the Vista organization.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as a Vista America Captain providing safe, consistent and high-quality flight operations for passengers receiving the company’s luxury service.
- Captains are expected to be effective problem solvers, brand ambassadors and supportive team members who are ready to assist passengers and colleagues.
- The position reports to the Flight Operations Manager and includes day-to-day and flight-to-flight coordination with the Operational Control Center, pilot leadership, chief pilots, Flight Operations Managers and Directors of Operations.
- Captains participate in Vista America’s safety management, Just Culture and fatigue-management programs, maintain disciplined operating standards through company training, and support the organization’s fleet progression and leadership development opportunities.
What We Offer
The package includes Year 1 guaranteed base pay of $195,000 and total compensation potential of $247,825, plus extra-day pay, a monthly flight-hour bonus, paid training days and per diem of $75 domestic/$120 international per day.Pilots receive home basing, a stable 15/13 schedule published 12 months in advance, training scheduled six months in advance, fleet progression while retaining seniority, continuous access to pilot leadership and operational support, mobile response maintenance teams, an aircraft refurbishment program, hotel and travel points, positive-space seats, travel on the first and last day of the schedule, premium health, dental and vision coverage, a company-provided phone, credit card and uniform, and a 401K program with company match.Pilots may choose additional vacation time or a $10,000 in-lieu vacation bonus.
Requirements
- Applicants must hold an FAA ATP and a PIC jet type rating
- a Bombardier rating is preferred. Minimum experience includes 3,000 hours of fixed-wing flight time, 1,500 hours of PIC time, 1,500 hours of multi-engine time, 1,000 hours of turbine time and 300 hours of logged IFR. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States, with support available for pilots who meet E-3 Visa requirements, and must be authorized to travel to all cities and countries served. The role requires a current FAA First Class Medical Certificate, no accidents, incidents or FAA enforcement actions during the previous five years, compliance with ICAO Annex 1-2.1.10 for international commercial air transport operations with more than one pilot, and 150 flight hours in the previous 365 days including 30 hours in the previous 90 days.
