About This Role
Sunwest Aviation Ltd., a Western Canadian operator of jet and turboprop charter aircraft based in Calgary, has an opening for a Captain on the Lear 45 (LR45). Reporting to the Chief Pilot, the role covers the proficient and safe operation of the Lear 45 aircraft. Full-time, 24 hour call out shift, salary $118,333 to $150,000, competition deadline 2026-07-31.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Lear 45 Captain is responsible for the proficient and safe operation of the Lear 45 aircraft.
- Perform all required duties and responsibilities associated with the Lear 45 aircraft.
- Strictly adhere to safety regulations in accordance with company requirements, Transport Canada, and CARs (Civil Aviation Regulations).
- Execute any additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Pilot and/or Deputy Chief Pilot.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot Licence, along with a valid Instrument and Type rating (if required).
- 3,500 hours Total Time.
- 2,000 hours PIC.
- 2,000hours Multi-Engine.
- 1,500 hours Multi PIC.
- 200 hours jet.
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience on the Lear 45.
