About This Role
Jet Aviation Captain position on a Gulfstream 550 for a legacy Part 91 account based in Teterboro, New Jersey. The pilot in command reports to the lead captain and is the final authority for the safe conduct of each flight, responsible for safe and efficient flight operations in compliance with all regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate the aircraft, determine departure times and routes, and/or cancel flights based on weather or other conditions Ensure that the flight is conducted in complete compliance with all federal, local, and company regulations and policies and procedures Responsible for conducting the flight in a safe and prudent manner in accordance with industry and company standards Accurate completion of all trip paperwork in accordance with current procedures Maintain a complete working knowledge of all aircraft systems which they are authorized to operate to include all emergency systems and procedures associated with the aircraft Obtain the most current weather reports, forecasts and NOTAMS File or cause a flight plan to be filed with the FAA or an ICAO state ATC facility Conduct the required passenger safety briefings or assign that duty to the second in command
Requirements
- Must possess an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate with appropriate Aircraft Type Rating Obtain and maintain an FAA First Class Medical 3500 hours Total Fixed Wing 1500 hours Multi-Engine Land 2000 hours Pilot-in-Command 1500 hours Turbojet 1500 Turbine time 100 hours Night 75 hours Actual or Simulated Instrument 5 years of aviation experience Must be able to work flexible schedules Willing and able to travel worldwide extensively, without any restrictions Must have a valid driver's license
