Jet Aviation is hiring a Global 6500 Captain for its Waukegan, Illinois (KUGN) operation in a private-aviation setting. The Captain has full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of state-of-the-art aircraft, leads a professional crew, makes critical decisions in changing conditions, and serves discerning clients on domestic and worldwide routes. The role combines flight leadership, safety and security oversight, flight-planning and aircraft-systems expertise, accurate trip administration, and a polished Brand Ambassador presence grounded in trust, honesty, alignment, transparency, and operational excellence. Duties & Responsibilities
- As Captain, take command of all assigned flights and make critical decisions that protect safety and ensure compliance with federal, local, and company regulations. Maintain complete working knowledge of aircraft systems, operate with precision, manage flight plans, adapt to changing conditions, and deliver a seamless travel experience while leading the crew on domestic and global missions. Perform the TSA Flight Security Coordinator (ISC) functions under the applicable twelve-five standard security program or private charter standard security program

- and record and report aircraft discrepancies as they occur. Manage trip documentation, aircraft manuals, and accurate trip paperwork in accordance with company procedures. Requirements
- Required qualifications include an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, FAA First Class Medical, 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing time, 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours of multi-engine time, 500 hours of Turbo-Jet time, 500 hours of turbine time, 100 hours of night time, and 75 hours of simulated instrument time. The pilot must be able to work a variable schedule to match mission profiles, travel extensively worldwide without restrictions, hold a high school diploma, and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. The role also calls for regular hand use and standing, walking, and sitting
- occasional climbing, kneeling, or crouching
- frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting
- and sharp vision across different ranges and depths. Work may take place in heavy-maintenance areas and upscale customer spaces, with occasional high noise levels, vibrations, fuel fumes, changing weather, and seasonal hangar temperature extremes.
