About This Role
Jet Aviation is seeking a Captain to lead Bombardier Global Express XRS operations for clients, reporting directly to the Director of Flight Operations. The role is centered on flight safety, operational excellence and service, with responsibility for crew leadership, precise navigation, aircraft-system and fuel management, checklist discipline, cabin-safety coordination, passenger briefings, flight records and occurrence reporting. The captain also represents the company through disciplined conduct and appearance and works across heavy-maintenance and upscale customer areas in variable noise, vibration, occasional fuel fumes, seasonal temperature extremes and all-weather conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as the captain responsible for the safety of all crew members, passengers and cargo onboard. Ensure that all operational procedures and checklists are complied with under the Operations Manual FOM
- ensure that crew members occupy their stations before take-off, final approach and landing
- prohibit any non-safety activity during take-off, initial climb, final approach and landing
- and prevent flight-data or cockpit-voice recorders from being disabled or erased unless data must be preserved for an incident or accident investigation and would otherwise be automatically erased. Coordinate flight-crew work distribution to obtain the maximum of good airmanship, maintain precise navigation and minimum-altitude observation, observe all aircraft-system limitations, ensure proper aircraft use and handling, and enforce strict checklist use. Verify that usable fuel is sufficient to reach an airport where a safe landing can be made with final reserve fuel remaining. Maintain close contact with the cabin crew so cabin-safety requirements are followed

- file written occurrence and accident reports when necessary
- and remain familiar with relevant aviation regulations, the JBJH/JBJS operations manual and agreed aviation practices. Maintain high standards of discipline, conduct and appearance as a company representative, comply with the FOM and Air Navigation Order (ANO), and brief every passenger on emergency-exit locations and the location and use of relevant safety and emergency equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum requirements are a valid ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot Licence) with a current type rating on the Bombardier Global Express XRS, at least 5,000 total flight hours, at least 500 hours as Pilot-in-Command (PIC) on type, a valid FAA licence, and a current Class 1 Medical Certificate. Applicants must have strong knowledge of aircraft systems, aviation regulations and safety protocols
