About This Role
Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Captain for its Savannah Flight Operations team. The Captain will operate Gulfstream aircraft domestically and internationally when qualified, supporting Airborne Customer Support, corporate transportation, customer accommodation, aircraft demonstrations, Gulfstream maintenance, production testing, and other assigned flight activities. The role also includes coordinating with Gulfstream personnel, Dispatch, Maintenance, Production/Completion, and Technical Operations to deliver safe and effective mission support. This is a full-time first-shift position with up to 25% travel.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate as a crew member in accordance with the Gulfstream Flight Operations FOM and SOP, conducting domestic flights and international flights when qualified.
- Perform flight operations in support of Airborne Customer Support, corporate transportation, customer accommodation, aircraft demonstrations, Gulfstream maintenance, production testing, and other assigned functions.
- Maintain broad knowledge and understanding of flight operations, communicate effectively with Gulfstream personnel to support the company and its customers, and manage assigned ancillary responsibilities.
- Follow Gulfstream corporate policies and Flight Operations Manual procedures.
- Coordinate the assessment and repair of aircraft issues with Corporate Maintenance, Production/Completion, and Technical Operations as needed.
- Proactively assist Gulfstream Dispatch with flight-activity planning and coordination, manage the safe and efficient conduct of assigned flights, serve as a positive ambassador for Gulfstream and General Dynamics, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, although an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential job functions may be accepted.
- Candidates must have five years of flight experience as a professional pilot in the aviation industry and must meet one of the stated flight-time pathways: 1,500 hours of total flight time, or 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command of turbine-powered aircraft.
- A Gulfstream type rating is preferred.
- An ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) and a first-class FAA medical certificate are required upon hire.
- Applicants must also be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
