Texel Air Australasia, an air cargo operator flying a fleet of seven aircraft across Australasia and New Zealand, is inviting Expression of Interest applications from experienced Captains to lead and grow its operations based in Darwin, Northern Territory. Duties & Responsibilities
- As Captain you take full command of and responsibility for the safe, efficient operation of every flight.
- You lead by example so that service standards consistently exceed expectations, carry out the duties set out in the company's Operations Manuals with precision and professionalism, and maintain schedule integrity while upholding the highest safety standards.
- The role also calls for the application of advanced Non-Technical Skills (NTS) to foster teamwork and operational success.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a current ATPL issued by the New Zealand Civil Aviation Authority or the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia, with eligibility for a New Zealand ATPL under the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Arrangement (TTMRA) between New Zealand and Australia.
- A current type rating on the Boeing 737NG (specifically not the 737 MAX) is required, together with recent experience on the type within the last five years.
- The stated flight-time minimums are 6,000 hours total time, 3,000 hours on multi-pilot aircraft (MPA), and either 1,000 hours pilot-in-command on the 737NG type or 2,000 hours pilot-in-command on types over 50 tonnes MTOW.
- Candidates must currently reside in, or be willing to relocate permanently to, Darwin.
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities, strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, and a pragmatic, hands-on approach backed by technical expertise are also required.
