Etihad Airways is recruiting an A320 Captain to be based in Abu Dhabi. The Captain will hold ultimate authority for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of each flight, command the aircraft and crew, and uphold Etihad’s standards of safety, professionalism, operational excellence, reliability, and environmental responsibility. Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain has ultimate authority for the safe, secure, and efficient operation of every flight. Responsibilities include ensuring the safety and security of the crew, passengers, cargo, and aircraft
- exercising full command from taxi-out through final engine shutdown
- leading the flight and cabin crew through sound decision-making and effective crew resource management
- operating efficiently and in accordance with company fuel and sustainability policies
- and delivering consistent On Time Performance to support Etihad’s reliability and guest-satisfaction commitments.

Requirements
- Applicants must have at least 5,500 hours of total flying time, 2,500 PIC hours on multi-crew glass-cockpit aircraft, and 1,500 PIC hours on an A320 Family aircraft. Candidates must have flown the A320 Family within the previous 12 months, hold an A320 type rating valid for at least two months at the time of joining, and be current on the A320. The required licensing and medical qualifications are an unrestricted and current ICAO ATPL and an unrestricted and current Class 1 medical. Applicants must be under 59 years of age on the joining date and must demonstrate written and verbal English fluency at Level 4 or higher. Current TRE/TRI experience is an advantage. For hours accumulated on flights with inflight relief, only 75% of the total hours counts toward the required minimum
