About This Role
Air Borealis, a collaborative partnership serving Northern and Coastal Labrador, is seeking experienced Twin Otter Captains for scheduled and charter operations based in Goose Bay, NL. The airline operates 11 Twin Otter aircraft serving 12 destinations across Labrador, including remote communities, fishing camps, and national parks. Candidates must have a minimum of 2500 hours total time, 1000 hours multi-engine experience, and 1000 hours PIC (or 2000 hours on similar aircraft), with a valid CPL and Transport Canada Class 1 Medical. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate Twin Otter aircraft on scheduled and charter flights
  • Serve Northern and Coastal Labrador communities
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and safety checks
  • Manage aircraft maintenance efficiency and cargo handling
  • Provide support to passenger operations
  • Operate to remote strips and challenging terrain

Requirements
  • Valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL)
  • Valid Transport Canada Group 1 Instrument Rating
  • Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • Minimum 2500 hours total flight time
  • Minimum 1000 hours multi-engine experience
  • Minimum 1000 hours PIC or 2000 hours on similar aircraft type
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
  • Transport Canada English proficiency standard (Level 4)
  • Valid ATPL preferred
