About This Role
Jet Aviation is seeking a Captain for a Challenger 605 operation based in Bedford, Massachusetts. The role places the pilot in an elite private aviation environment with full responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft, leadership of a professional crew, and delivery of a high-quality experience for discerning clients. The Captain will operate domestic and international missions, respond effectively to changing conditions, maintain rigorous safety and compliance standards, and represent Jet Aviation with discretion, professionalism, and operational excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain takes command of all assigned flights and makes critical operational decisions to ensure safety and compliance with federal, local, and company regulations.
- Responsibilities include maintaining complete working knowledge of Challenger 605 aircraft systems, operating the aircraft precisely, managing flight plans, adapting to changing conditions, and delivering a seamless travel experience.
- The Captain performs the applicable TSA Flight Security Coordinator functions under the Twelve-Five Standard Security Program or Private Charter Standard Security Program, conducts required passenger safety briefings or delegates them to the second in command, supports open communication on safety matters, reports hazards, and maintains a secure operating environment.
- The role also requires recording and reporting aircraft discrepancies as they occur, managing trip documentation, maintaining aircraft manuals, completing accurate trip paperwork in accordance with company procedures, and serving as a professional Jet Aviation brand ambassador.
- The position involves domestic and global travel and may require work in maintenance areas, customer facilities, hangars, and changing weather and temperature conditions.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate and an FAA First Class Medical.
- The posting requires 3,500 hours of total fixed-wing flight time, including 1,500 hours as Pilot in Command, 1,500 hours of multi-engine experience, 500 hours of turbojet time, 500 hours of turbine time, 100 hours of night experience, and 75 hours of simulated instrument experience.
- Candidates must be able to work a variable schedule aligned with flight missions and be willing to travel extensively worldwide without restrictions.
- A high school diploma and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record are required.
