About This Role
DC Aviation Al Futtaim, a Dubai-based business aviation company (Charter, FBO, Maintenance and Aircraft Management) operating from Al-Maktoum International Airport in DWC, is seeking an experienced Captain for its Boeing Business Jet (BBJ) operation. The role suits a proactive pilot with strong organizational skills, a flexible attitude under pressure, excellent customer relationship skills, cultural awareness and a willingness to work a flexible duty roster as part of the DCAF team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain bears final authority over control of the aircraft, maintains safety and order on board, and takes any measures necessary in emergencies.
- The Captain is fully responsible for the safety of the aircraft, its load and persons on board from the moment the aircraft is ready to move for take-off until it comes to rest with engines shut down.
- Duties include organizing the flight deck team under the Multi-Crew Concept and assigning PF/PNF roles, ensuring checklist compliance, setting priorities giving precedence to safety while considering economy, passenger comfort and punctuality, and possessing the required route and airport knowledge.
- The Captain ensures flight and weather briefings are conducted, verifies flight and duty time limits, confirms that required documents are on board and up to date, signs for airworthiness, instrumentation, maintenance requirements, mass and balance and dangerous goods provisions, reports findings and irregularities, conducts the cabin crew briefing, and assumes a duty of care for the crew while promoting the reputation of DC Aviation Al Futtaim.
- The Captain may exclude persons and items from transportation, delegate tasks to cockpit and cabin crew, and must meet operational duties as laid out in the OM-A and OM-B.
Requirements
- Candidates must hold a valid EASA or FAA ATPL licence, a current BBJ type rating and a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate. At least 5 years of BBJ business aviation experience is required, with minimum total time of 3,000 hours, 2,500 hours PIC and 1,000 hours on type. English language proficiency is required. An instructor background would be an advantage. All positions are full-time contracts with permanent residency in Dubai
