About This Role
Ethiopian Airlines is seeking experienced Captain-level pilots for their B777/787 wide-body fleet operating international routes. The airline is one of Africa's largest carriers with modern aircraft and a strong international presence. Candidates must hold a valid ATPL with current B777/787 type rating, minimum 3,500 total jet hours including 2,500 hours pilot-in-command, and demonstrate command experience exceeding 500 hours on the specific aircraft type. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Operate B777/787 aircraft on international routes
  • Conduct pre-flight inspections and crew briefings
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and operational procedures
  • Manage crew resource management protocols
  • Complete required flight documentation and reports
  • Maintain command authority and decision-making on the flight deck

Requirements
  • Valid JAA/FAA or ICAO ATPL license
  • Current B777/787 type rating
  • Valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
  • ICAO English Level 4 or above
  • Minimum 3,500 hours total jet time
  • Minimum 2,500 hours pilot in command on jet aircraft
  • Command time in excess of 500 hours on B777/787
  • Not more than 60 years old
  • Valid passport with minimum 2 years validity
  • Within three months of last proficiency check
  • No history of accidents or incidents
  • Excellent English language standard
  • Scanned copy of Medical Certificate
  • Logbook copy showing total flight hours
  • License authentication letter from Civil Aviation Authority
