About This Role
Compass Cargo Airlines is a growing Bulgarian cargo operator flying Boeing 737-800SF alongside B747-400F and B747-400ERF widebody aircraft for major cargo customers across an expanding international network. The B747 Captain role places a pilot in an international and multicultural operation built on clear communication, professional standards, efficient structures, reliable teamwork, EASA-compliant procedures and modern rostering. Its cargo-oriented flying includes night operations, tight ground turnarounds and dangerous-goods handling, while the 737-800SF network complements the long-haul 747 operation and gives pilots broad, varied exposure within the company.
Duties & Responsibilities
- As a B747-400 Captain, operate within an international and multicultural cargo operation focused on safe, efficient flying for an expanding network serving major cargo customers. The operating environment includes night flying, tight ground turnarounds and dangerous goods handling as everyday aspects of the work, with the 747-400F and 747-400ERF supporting long-haul flying alongside the company’s 737-800SF network. The role calls for professionalism, consistency, collaboration, clear communication and reliable teamwork in the cockpit and on the ground, with a calm, solution-oriented approach
- the quality of the flight deck is expected to set the standard for the wider operation. The position is full-time employment with the company under its EASA-compliant operating procedures.

Requirements
- Required qualifications are a valid EASA ATPL (A), a valid EASA Class 1 Medical Certificate and a valid B747-400 type rating.
- The experience threshold is 6000 total hours, including a minimum of 4500 hours on medium to heavy turbo jet aircraft, a minimum of 1000 hours on B747-400 or -8 aircraft, a minimum of 500 hours PIC on B747-400 or -8 aircraft, and a minimum of 1500 total PIC hours.
- ICAO English Language Proficiency Level 5 or higher is required.
- TRI/TRE is an advantage, and the posting also calls for strong communication and teamwork skills together with a professional, calm and solution-oriented approach to operations.
