About This Role
Transavia is expanding this year with a new home base in Brussels, alongside Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Eindhoven, and is seeking experienced Boeing 737NG Captains to help build it. From day one, the Captain joins a team of approximately 60 pilots, serves as the cockpit point of contact, takes ultimate responsibility for a safe and smooth operation, and works with the crew to maintain a pleasant, professional atmosphere on board. The role covers varied European destinations, from sunny islands to busy urban airports, with changing routes, weather conditions and airfields demanding alertness, experience and teamwork. In the coming years the operation will transition to the Airbus A321neo, with retraining provided. Transavia says it has operated since 1965 and has more than 3,000 colleagues, making flying accessible for holidays, family visits abroad and discovering new destinations in Europe and North Africa.
Duties & Responsibilities

You will fly to varied destinations across Europe, from sunny islands to busy urban airports. The variety of routes, weather conditions and airfields makes every day different and calls for alertness, experience and teamwork.
What We Offer
The starting salary is €11,220 gross per month, plus an additional €39 gross per block hour each month, potentially reaching more than 100 hours per month. The listing also states that the salary rises to an average of €300 gross per year, excluding indexation where applicable. The package includes a permanent contract, with taxes paid in the Netherlands and social security in Belgiuman 8% year-end payment based on gross basic salaryholiday allowancea pension plan with a 10% employer contributionand a loss-of-licence scheme. Transavia fully covers the uniform, parking costs and medical examinations. The definitive roster is provided 35 days in advance. You receive 20 vacation days under the Belgian accrual scheme plus 10 public holidays pro rata, and part-time work is possible from 12 months after your line check. After 3 months of employment, you may use Transavia's ID95 staff travel scheme, and after one year you receive access to a worldwide airline network at attractive rates, subject to availability.
Requirements
- Candidates must meet the following criteria: a valid EASA ATPL
- a valid ME/IR (A) PBN
- a valid Class 1 Medical Certificate
- minimum ICAO ELP 5 at the time of application, with ELP 6 required before joining Transavia
- an MCC certificate
- an Advanced UPRT certificate if the licence was issued after 20-12-2021
- a valid Boeing 737NG type rating with at least 1,000 current hours as Captain on type, including 50 hours in the last 6 months
- at least 3,500 total flight hours on multi-engine aircraft
- the ability to swim one full length without aids to participate safely in the wet drill
- and a valid EU passport.
