About This Role
Uzbekistan Airways, the national flag carrier of Uzbekistan, is recruiting experienced Captains (Pilot-in-Command) for its Airbus A320/A321 narrow-body fleet. Applicants must already hold a valid A320/A321 type rating and a current Civil Aviation ATPL, remain current on type (no more than a nine-month break flying the type at the time of application), and hold a valid medical certificate and ICAO English Level 4 or higher. The competitive selection is held in Tashkent and consists of an interview, verification of the ICAO English level, and a flying/exercise test, with return travel provided on Uzbekistan Airways flights. Duties & Responsibilities
- Serve as Captain (Pilot-in-Command) on Uzbekistan Airways Airbus A320/A321 aircraft, operating as part of the flight crew and maintaining currency and proficiency on the type.
- Crew duties require working in the state language (for Uzbek citizens), Russian and English to the level needed to carry out flight operations.

Requirements
- Applicants for Captain must hold a valid A320/A321 aircraft type rating
- a valid Civil Aviation Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
- and a valid medical certificate issued by the medical flight expert commission. English must be at least ICAO Level 4 on the Language Proficiency scale, valid for at least six months. At the time of application, any break from flying the A320/A321 in this position must be no more than nine months. Candidates must have completed civil- or military-aviation pilot training and must have accrued at least 1,000 flight hours on the A320/A321 type as Captain. Command of the state language (for citizens of Uzbekistan), Russian and English to the level required for crew duties is expected. Foreign nationals must have at least five years of flight experience. A certificate confirming the legitimacy of the licence from the authorised body is required, and applicants must be no older than 55. Documents to be submitted in PDF include the completed application, the medical flight expert commission's airworthiness conclusion, the pilot's licence, records of education/flight hours/aircraft types flown, proof of admission to instrument flight, a work-record extract confirming flight experience, an ICAO English level certificate (Level 4 or above), and, for Uzbek citizens liable for military service, a military certificate marked fit for service.
