About This Role
Etihad Airways is recruiting UAE Nationals for a structured two-year Cadet Pilot Programme designed to develop future pilots for the airline's expanding fleet. The programme provides flight qualifications through UAE and overseas ground school, flight simulation, and practical flying training, with a strong focus on safety, Standard Operating Procedures, regulatory compliance, and continuous professional development. Cadets receive support and mentoring from experienced instructor pilots and progress through a defined salary pathway from training through line flying and eventual promotion to Senior First Officer after completing the required flying hours and obtaining an ATPL.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Cadets commit to a structured two-year training programme to obtain the necessary flight qualifications.
- Their training includes ground school in the UAE and overseas, flight simulations, and practical flying training.
- They are expected to make safety a central part of their development and to learn and adhere to safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and regulatory requirements at all times.
- Throughout the training journey, cadets receive mentoring and support from highly experienced instructor pilots.
What We Offer
Etihad provides the training needed to begin a professional flying career, including ground instruction, simulator sessions, practical flight training, and mentoring from experienced instructor pilots.Successful candidates receive AED 5,000 per month during the first two years of training.After completing the License Skill Test, pay rises to AED 16,667 per month plus variable allowances for six months.Following line training under supervision, salary increases to AED 24,000 per month plus variable allowances, with step increments over four years capped at AED 34,000 per month.After completing the required flying hours and obtaining the ATPL, cadets are promoted to Senior First Officer with a monthly salary of AED 39,853.
Requirements
- Applicants must be UAE Nationals aged 18 to 29 and at least 160 cm tall. They must hold a high school diploma with an overall minimum grade of 80%, including passing grades in Mathematics and Physics, or a higher-education qualification such as a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Candidates must also have either an IELTS score of at least 5.5 or an EmSAT English score of at least 1250. Male applicants must have completed UAE National Service or hold a permanent exemption at the time of application. The programme is seeking candidates who demonstrate a passion for aviation, commitment to continuous learning and development, and a strong command of written and spoken English.
