About This Role
SAA cabin crew are required to be professional, friendly individuals who deliver a personalised, consistent service to their customers on board our aircraft. They represent the South African nation, reflecting its colorful cultures, warm hospitality, and beauty. Being an SAA cabin crew member is a privilege that comes with enormous responsibility. Cabin crew must be well-groomed and medically fit, maintaining a healthy lifestyle to manage fatigue and jet lag. They travel to international destinations, meet interesting people, and experience different cultures, but must also handle emergencies, turbulence, and sick passengers and potential conflict.
Requirements
- Grade 12 or equivalent diploma
- Pass in English at Grade 12 level (or equivalent)
- Pass the SAA English Language Proficiency Test
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Safety orientated
- Culturally sensitive
- Ability to work under pressure
- No negative findings on SAA’s pre-employment checks (criminal, credit and qualification checks)
- Must be medically fit
- Minimum height of 1.58m
- Be a competent swimmer
