About This Role
Smart Aviation, the Indonesian operator PT Smart Cakrawala Aviation, is hiring Captains for its Boeing 737 Classic fleet covering the 300, 400 and 500 series. This is a command position that pairs line flying with flight operations management, and the selected Captain may act as Chief Pilot during periods off the line. The company is looking for experienced, type rated commanders who can uphold the highest standards of flight safety, operational excellence and regulatory compliance. Applicants must be Indonesian citizens holding a valid ATPL and a current Boeing 737 Classic type rating, with at least 3,000 total hours and 1,000 hours as pilot in command on the 737 Classic. Type Rating Instructor or Examiner experience and a background in flight operations management are strongly preferred. Selection runs through document review, an aptitude test, a personal interview and a company culture assessment, and applications are submitted through the Smart Aviation careers portal.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate the Boeing 737 Classic as pilot in command to the highest safety standards
- Ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance on every flight
- Carry out flight operations management duties and act as Chief Pilot when not flying
Requirements
- Indonesian citizen
- Valid ATPL
- Current Boeing 737 Classic type rating (B737-300/400/500)
- Minimum 3,000 total flight hours
- Minimum 1,000 hours pilot in command on Boeing 737 Classic
- No history of licence suspension or revocation
- Non smoker with no use of nicotine products
Preferred Qualifications
- Boeing 737 Type Rating Instructor or Type Rating Examiner
- Experience in flight operations management
- Strong leadership, communication and decision making skills
