About This Role
Porter Airlines is recruiting Bilingual Flight Attendants for their Ottawa base to ensure passenger safety and deliver the airline's signature refined service experience. As a Canadian airline operating Dash 8 and Embraer E195-E2 aircraft throughout North America, Porter seeks service-oriented individuals with customer experience backgrounds. Candidates must be at least 19 years old, bilingual in French and English, and possess a minimum of 2 years of customer service experience. The role requires flexibility to work rotating reserve schedules including weekends, holidays, and nights, with successful completion of a 5-6 week intensive training program.
Requirements
- Valid Canadian passport or international passport with current US crew member visa (C-1/D)
- Minimum 19 years of age at time of employment
- High school diploma
- Mandatory fluency in French and English (written and spoken)
- Minimum 2 years of customer service work experience
- Ability to obtain a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) and pass company background verification
- Ability to meet medical standards including alcohol and drug screening and all physical job requirements
- Successful completion of 5-6 week full-time training program with 100% attendance and passing all written and practical evaluations
- Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
- Safety-focused mindset and ability to work independently
- Ability to work rotating reserve schedule including weekends, holidays, evenings and nights
- Ability to report to assigned base airport within 2 hours of notice for flight duties
