This permanent full-time BA Cityflyer Captain position is listed at Edinburgh Airport and supports the airline's customer-focused business, charter and leisure operation. Duties & Responsibilities
- The Captain is responsible for putting the customer first and providing the best possible flight experience for business and leisure travellers.
- The role involves working flexibly within a close-knit team to deliver a dynamic seven-day-a-week operation covering business, charter and leisure flights.
- The roster includes day trips, night stops and tours.
- Captains will operate the Embraer 190 in a distinctive European operation involving premium customers, varied flying and the operational challenges of London City Airport, while maintaining high standards of professionalism, skill, safety and customer service.
- The role may also provide opportunities to develop a longer-term career within BA Cityflyer.

Requirements
- Applicants must hold a current UK CAA Part-FCL ATPL(A), or be able to convert to a UK licence through the CAA EASA transfer process route 5 or 6. A current type rating is required, together with at least 4,000 total flight hours, including 1,500 hours as PIC of a commercial jet or turboprop multi-crew aircraft. All 1,500 PIC hours must be on aircraft with an MTOW of at least 20,000 kg and must exclude PICUS hours. Candidates must also have ICAO English language proficiency level 6, a valid multi-engine instrument rating and a valid Class 1 Medical that remains valid for six months after joining. An E-Jet type rating and current Captain experience are desirable but not essential. Before applying, candidates must upload their licence, Class 1 Medical and the last three pages of their logbook
- hours and ratings will be checked during screening and assessment. Candidates unsuccessful at initial screening, video interview, capacity testing or assessment centre may reapply after six months, while unsuccessful SIM-stage candidates must wait 12 months.
